Crowns, Bridges and Veneers

Crowns, Bridges and Veneers

If you have a severely damaged or decayed tooth, our dentists can help you choose the best solution. Crowns and bridges are custom-fitted tooth prosthetics that function and look like natural, healthy teeth. Veneers are a less invasive alternative and are primarily used for cosmetic corrections. These thin porcelain or resin shells come in customizable colors and are bonded to the surface of your teeth.  The Navasota Dental, Tx that is conveniently located near 413 N Lsalle St, Navasota, is the best option available and accepts Medicaid.

Crowns

A dental crown is a tooth-shaped “cap” that is placed over a tooth – to cover the tooth, to restore its shape, strength and size, and improve its appearance. The crowns, when cemented into place, fully encase the entire visible portion of a tooth that lies at and above the gum line. The crowns can be made of all porcelain, mixed metal-porcelain or metal/gold only.

Procedure:

  • We will prepare the problematic tooth for a proper crown fit.
  • An impression will be taken of the prepared tooth and bite for crown fabrication.
  • We will fit you with a temporary crown until the lab makes your permanent one.
  • Once it has arrived back with us (usually 2.5 weeks), your permanent crown will be inserted.

Bridges

To replace one or 2 missing teeth with decayed and/or heavily filled adjacent teeth, or a tooth that has been missing for a long time (i.e., with gum recession around the area), a dental bridge could be a good option. The adjacent teeth will be covered with dental crowns which support the pontic/s that replacing the missing tooth/teeth.

Veneers

If you’re looking to cosmetically correct or enhance the appearance of one or more front teeth, then veneers could be the option. They are very thin, porcelain or resin shells that can be customized in color and shape. They are less-invasive and more resistant to future stains.
